Montenegro to host Berlin Process ministers in Budva on September 30 and October 1
Montenegro will host the Berlin Process ministerial meeting in Budva on September 30 and October 1, bringing together representatives of Western Balkan countries, the European Union and regional organizations, Vijesti reports.
Foreign ministry assistant Ivan Ivanišević told Television Vijesti’s “Boje jutra” that the meeting will be an opportunity for talks on regional topics, European integration and concrete forms of cooperation; he recalled that the Berlin Process has already brought practical benefits to the region’s citizens, such as the removal of roaming charges and easier border crossings.
During its turn at the helm, Montenegro will also host a series of other meetings, with activities expected to conclude with a leaders’ summit on October 22. Ivanišević expressed confidence the country will be an excellent host and that, through concrete examples of its own success in European integration, it will help the idea and values of the Union be embraced as widely as possible in the region.
Ivanišević underlined Montenegro’s interest in having its neighbors at its borders as advanced and developed as possible, through messages of good cooperation and European values.
