“My love left us today” — Socialist MP Loer Kume mourns the loss of his wife

Socialist Party MP for Durrës, Loer Kume, has announced with grief the death of his wife. In a touching post, Kume shared the news with relatives, describing Lorina as his lifelong companion and the mother of their two children.

Kume says he and Lorina had known each other since the age of 18 and had shared more than two decades of life together. The MP announced that his wife had been facing an illness for some time and, despite the strength she showed in battling it, passed away this Friday.

In his post, Kume described Lorina as “my love since I was 18, more than my half, my twin soul, my home, my wife, my lover, my friend, my teacher, my student, my compass”. He stressed that, during her illness, she proved herself “the strongest person” the family and all relatives had ever known.

According to the announcement, Lorina’s burial will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, while condolence receptions will be held on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 09:00–13:00 and 16:00–21:00, at the Leba Agency, Lagjja nr. 6, “Andon Naçi” Street, Durrës.
