Nani’s “The Paradise” storms the box office: over 60 crore rupees in 48 hours, enters 2026’s top-10 Telugu earners
NEW DELHI – Indian star Nani’s new film “The Paradise” has exploded at the box office. The period action drama, directed by Srikanth Odela with music by Anirudh Ravichander, released in cinemas on September 24, 2026 and collected over 60 crore rupees (net, India) in just two days — 61–62 crore going by early collection trends, as Zoom TV and Koimoi report.
Day one was historic for Nani’s career: the film grossed around 46–47.5 crore rupees, including 11.6 crore from paid previews. It is the biggest opening of his career — practically double “Dasara” (23.20 crore) — and the third-biggest Telugu opening of 2026, behind “Peddi” and “The Raja Saab”.
Day two (Friday, September 25) added another 14.5–15 crore rupees, with the film playing in around 7,000 shows across India at 32.8% occupancy. At this pace, “The Paradise” has entered the top 10 Telugu grossers of 2026 — at No. 6, overtaking “Maa Inti Bangaaram” and “Anaganaga Oka Raju”.
Industry projections suggest the film could cross “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” (72.38 crore) and head toward 100 crore within its opening weekend. This comes despite mixed reviews: critics attacked the film’s violent content, but mass audiences are filling the theaters and turning it into one of the year’s biggest successes.
