National Security Council meeting ends, SPAK chief also present: Presidency statement expected

The meeting of the National Security Council has ended after 90 minutes.

SPAK chief Klodian Braho also took part in the meeting, at the invitation of the President. Journalist Muhamed Veliu reports that alongside the 14 permanent members, the president invited other persons as well, depending on the topic.

Following the meeting, a statement from the Presidency is expected on the discussions and issues addressed during the talks.

Such a statement would be published by the Presidency in a situation similar to the last National Security Council meeting in 2023, when the focus was Iran’s cyberattack on Albanian institutions.
