New Education Measures in Italy — Meloni: There Will Be a Cap on Foreign Students per Classroom
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that her government will soon approve new measures setting a limit on the number of foreign pupils in every classroom in the country.
This had previously been announced by Italian Education Minister Giuseppe Valditara. The Italian prime minister said that parents of foreign pupils with poor academic performance will be required to learn Italian, while the wearing of burqas and hijabs will be banned in all Italian schools.
“Italians should not feel like a minority in schools; we cannot accept this,” Meloni emphasized, speaking at the youth festival of her party, “Brothers of Italy”.
