Nikoloski from Brussels: Infrastructure investment and economic growth recognised and confirmed by the EU

North Macedonia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister, Aleksandar Nikoloski, is on a two-day working visit to Brussels, where he will take part in official meetings organised by the European Commission, as the Makfax agency reports.

At the meetings with European officials, according to the Ministry of Transport’s announcement, current economic and political issues in the country will be discussed, with a particular focus on cooperation in infrastructure and transport.

According to the same announcement, cited by Makfax, the infrastructure investments carried out and North Macedonia’s economic growth have been recognised and confirmed by the European Union — an assessment that Skopje sees as proof of the reform course on the path of European integration.

Nikoloski’s visit to Brussels comes at a time when relations between Skopje and Brussels are at the centre of the political agenda, with expectations that the meetings with the European Commission will give a further push to the country’s integration processes.
