Odegaard slams Bernardo Silva: “He made a senseless gesture”

A late Bernardo Silva challenge on Odegaard in the final minutes of the Norway–Portugal match angered the Arsenal playmaker, who vented his fury after the game. “He knocked me down long after I had passed the ball. I don’t understand what he was doing,” the Norwegian said loudly.

“I don’t know what he intended to do. These things have no place on a football pitch. It’s sad that people behave like this, but that’s life.” Bernardo Silva, now at Real Madrid, replied briefly but clearly in the mixed zone after the match: “My friend, this is football.”
