On Vlora Hyseni’s statement toward Klodiana Lala, Bardhi: Instead of intimidating the journalist, she should answer

Democratic Party parliamentary group leader Gazmend Bardhi has reacted after former SHISH director Vlora Hyseni’s statement toward journalist Klodiana Lala.

According to Bardhi, Vlora Hyseni should answer the accusations about the use of state structures in the interest of organized crime instead of attacking the journalist who raises questions.

He added that state information cannot be used to intimidate journalists and that, instead of intimidating a journalist, she should give answers.

“This answer makes it even clearer in whose hands Edi Rama had handed over SHISH.

What we saw was not the response of a former public official facing serious accusations and giving explanations before the public. It was the reaction of an ordinary person, who thinks that mud, slander and personal attacks on a journalist with integrity can replace responsibility and transparency.

Instead of answering the accusations about the use of state structures in the interest of organized crime, she chooses to attack the journalist who asks the questions.

Vlora of Gysi and Roni knows one thing very well: if the information with which she thinks she is intimidating Klodiana Lala were true, then she would also have to answer another very serious question — how did information obtained by virtue of her duty end up outside state structures?

Therefore, instead of intimidating a journalist, let her answer. Ultimately, what was seen today is far more serious than a personal debate. It is yet another proof of the standard that Edi Rama has set for the people he has chosen for the highest functions of the state.

When power responds to questions with threats, mud and personal attacks, the problem is no longer only the one who speaks. The problem is the system that has made it possible for people with high state responsibilities to think they can be accountable to no one.
