One-of-a-kind Shohei Ohtani card sells for $2.8 million at auction

Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani keeps commanding extraordinary values on the sports-memorabilia market. A rare 1-of-1 2026 Topps Chrome Gold card, signed by Ohtani and featuring a piece of his game-worn uniform (Logoman patch), has caught collectors’ attention.

According to Bleacher Report, on 28 September 2026 the card sold for $2.8 million at the Monthly Sports Elite auction — a figure that shows the strong interest in unique items of players of his caliber. This is not the first time Ohtani’s cards have fetched record prices; another 1-of-1 Back to Back Gold Logoman Autograph Relics card sold for $11 million this summer.

As Bleacher Report notes, such sales strengthen demand for memorabilia of MLB stars and reflect the collectible value on the international market.
