Paris Hilton brings the documentary “4000 Days”: the devastating story of hazing in American universities
The documentary “4000 Days”, a shocking account of the devastating consequences of hazing in American college fraternities, has unveiled its official trailer, as ComingSoon exclusively reports.
The film, directed by Emmy Award winner Daniel E. Catullo III and executive produced by Paris Hilton, follows the years-long public battle of three families — Gary and Julie DeVercelly, Linda and Eric Oakes, and TJ and Kim Burch — who lost their sons to the ritual violence of hazing. Through real footage, 911 call recordings and interviews with the families, the trailer shows how they have turned pain into action, trying to expose the dangers, hold universities and fraternities accountable and push for legislative reform.
The title “4000 Days” represents the number of days of their long fight to turn pain into action and action into law.
The documentary had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the Jersey Shore Film Festival, while also screening at Dances with Films in Los Angeles. The next screening will be the southeastern premiere at the Nashville Film Festival on Sunday, 27 September, at 15:30 — news that comes precisely during National Hazing Awareness Week, according to ComingSoon.
