Police “seal off” Vlora, checks on cars with tinted windows, here is what is being verified

Police have stepped up checks on several of the main roads in the city of Vlora, as part of the measures taken to guarantee security during the weekend.

One of the checkpoints has been set up at the Transbalkanike roundabout, where officers stop vehicles and carry out verifications of drivers and passengers.

The checks focus especially on vehicles with tinted windows, while Police are also verifying the identity of the people travelling in them, with the aim of identifying wanted persons or cases of illegal possession of weapons.

Similar checks are also being carried out at other points in Vlora, with an increased presence of officers on the city’s main roads.

The measures aim to prevent illegal activities, catch wanted persons and increase public safety during the weekend.
