OVL-UÇK calls a rally on Monday at 12:00 in front of the Assembly over the Specialist Chambers Law
The Organisation of KLA War Veterans has announced that on Monday, October 5, from 12:00, it will gather in front of the Assembly of Kosovo, inviting citizens to take part and express their dissatisfaction with the authorities for not immediately voting, in both readings, the supplements and amendments to the Law on the Specialist Chambers, as KosovaPress reports.
“After the failure to reach a political agreement for the immediate voting of the supplement and amendment of the Law on the Specialist Chambers, and after Albin Kurti’s constant political and procedural game with such a sensitive issue, the patience of the KLA veterans and of the citizens of Kosovo is running out,” the organisation’s announcement says.
According to OVL-UÇK, the deadline for reaching a political and procedural agreement that would enable the immediate voting of both readings is only until tomorrow, Sunday. “If there is no agreement by tomorrow, from Monday the KLA veterans will escalate their actions,” the announcement warns.
The organisation says the categories that emerged from the KLA war are “deeply outraged” by Prime Minister Kurti’s approach, who, according to it, is making political calculations “even with the pain, sacrifice and dignity of the citizens of Kosovo”. “The veterans and the citizens of Kosovo have run out of patience,” the announcement concludes.
