Police suspect the suspicious package in Pristina was dropped from the air

This is the new development in the case of the suspicious device found today in Pristina: the Kosovo Police have announced that they suspect the suspicious package was dropped from the air.

On “Rrustem Hyseni” Street in Pristina, this afternoon at around 17:00, a suspicious device was found. Immediately after receiving the information, the relevant police units went to the scene and took immediate security measures, evacuating citizens and establishing a security perimeter, as Klan Kosova reports.

“The Unit for Handling Improvised Explosive Devices also arrived at the scene and handled the suspected device professionally, safely and in a controlled manner (which is suspected to have been dropped from the air), avoiding any possible risk to citizens and residents of that area,” the Kosovo Police said in an additional media statement.

The police add that further examinations of the suspected device will continue, as will the clarification of the circumstances connected with this case.

The Kosovo Police thank citizens for their cooperation and vigilance, and invite them to report any case or information about suspected devices immediately to the emergency number 192 or through the Police digital application.
