Prizren protests for the liberators, Leonora Jakupi among the citizens: The Hague sentence was unjust

A large number of citizens gathered tonight in Prizren in protest to express their opposition to the guilty verdict of the Specialist Court against the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, in support of the liberators.

The protest continues with massive participation and is part of today’s Kosovo-wide rallies in support of the former KLA leaders, following the conclusion of the rallies in Peja and Istog.

A citizen participating in the protest said the rally itself is proof that the sentence was unjust: “This whole rally here is itself proof that the sentence was unjust… You fought for the freedom of this country and there is no court that can judge your sacrifice.”

The well-known artist Leonora Jakupi has joined the citizens at the Prizren protest; she had also taken part in the other protests organized in Pristina in support of the liberators.

Among the protesters in Prizren is also the mayor of the municipality, Shaqir Totaj, while the protest continues. Prizren thus joins today’s Kosovo-wide protests in support of the liberators, Klan Kosova reports.
