Property alienation scheme uncovered in Fier, 3 security measures executed

The Fier Prosecution deepened this Saturday its investigations into an illegal property alienation and appropriation network in the Levan administrative unit.

According to the police report, the “prison arrest” measure was executed for the former head of ASHK Fier, E. Sh., as well as for citizen E. H.

Meanwhile, the security measure “obligation to report” was imposed on a former cartography specialist at the same institution, citizen E. R.

These persons reportedly face charges of falsifying official documents, fraud, abuse of public office and laundering the proceeds of criminal activity.

Police statement:

In the continuation of Operation “Stolen Land,” the second phase of the operation is finalized, with 3 more security measures executed.

The Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes at the Fier DVP has executed 3 more security measures against the citizens:

E. H., 49, resident of Vlora, for whom the Court imposed the security measure “Prison arrest”;

E. Sh., 46, resident of Tirana, for whom the Court imposed the second security measure “Prison arrest”;

E. R., 40, resident of Fier, for whom the Court imposed the security measure “Obligation to report to the Judicial Police.”

The security measures were executed after investigations revealed that citizen E. H., in collaboration with citizen E. Sh., former director of ASHK, who was placed under the “Prison arrest” security measure and handcuffed three days earlier, and with the help of citizen E. R., who at the time served as a surveyor at ASHK, falsified documents for unjust gain.

Investigations continue to uncover other cases of abuse of office, concealment of income and document falsification, as well as to document the involvement of other citizens in this scheme.

The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Fier Court of General Jurisdiction for further action.
