Protesters block roads on the first day of school; hundreds of pupils stuck in traffic for minutes on end

In the Zogu i Zi area of Tirana, several people protested this morning, also causing traffic difficulties.

This is one of the busiest areas of the capital, while today traffic was even heavier due to the start of the new school year.

It was the police who intervened to clear the traffic, while also escorting several people. Among those escorted is Visuar Dalipi.

Apparently this was the protesters’ way of wishing pupils a happy first day of school: leaving them stuck in traffic for minutes on end.
