Protesters warn of October 8 rally outside Parliament: “Stop the merger of municipalities”

Activist Mirjan Aliaj has called for a protest on October 8, the day the government’s proposed new territorial map is expected to be voted on in Parliament.

During his speech, Aliaj urged citizens to gather outside Parliament if the government’s proposal is not changed.

“On October 8, the new territorial map proposed by Rama’s government is expected to be voted on. I call on every citizen that, on October 8, if the government’s plan does not change, we gather outside the Parliament of the Republic to stop Rama from merging the municipalities. I call on all the small municipalities included in this plan that on October 8 we are at the Parliament of the Republic, and that we do not allow these MPs, who act against the popular will, to keep the map unchanged,” activist Mirjan Aliaj said, among other things.
