Publication of intimate videos of public figures, Tirana Police opens investigations

Tirana Police has opened investigations into the publication and distribution of intimate videos on online portals and platforms. The case has been referred to the Prosecution, while Cybercrime investigators are working to identify those responsible.

Cybercrime structures in Tirana have launched investigative actions following the publication and distribution of intimate materials on several online portals and platforms.

According to official sources, the investigations aim to identify the people who published and distributed the materials, while work is also under way to remove them from online platforms.

The materials have been referred to the Prosecution for further investigations, for four criminal offenses, among them “unjust interference in private life”.
