Putin to receive Dodik and Republika Srpska prime minister Savo Minić at the Kremlin today

Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to receive SNSD president Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić at the Kremlin today. The two are in Moscow on a working visit, as Danas reports citing the RIA Novosti agency.

“Relations between Russia and Republika Srpska are historic, traditional and very close,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, in remarks carried by RIA Novosti.

“During the second half of the day, Putin will receive Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić and SNSD president Milorad Dodik, who are in Moscow on a working visit,” Peskov said, as quoted by RIA Novosti.

The Kremlin meeting comes at a time when Republika Srpska is facing internal political tensions and strained relations with the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Moscow remains one of the Serb entity’s leadership’s key international allies.
