Ramadani denounces the selection for the ERO Board: The government did not choose the best candidates, the highest scorers were left out
Alliance MP Burim Ramadani has raised concerns about the way the Government selected the candidates for members of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO).
Ramadani says that although the competition process included the evaluation and ranking of candidates according to the points earned, the Government has not proposed the candidates with the highest results.
According to him, the competition for ERO members was announced on April 28, 2026 by the Ministry of Economic Development, while on July 10 the ad hoc Recommendation Commission was established.
He emphasizes that on August 17 and 18, the Commission ranked the candidates according to the points earned in the interview.
“But, the best in scoring are not proposed for the ERO Board, but the weakest,” Ramadani declared.
According to him, the candidates ranked first, third, fourth, sixth and seventh were not proposed by the Government, while the candidates ranked second, fifth, eighth and ninth were proposed.
Ramadani described this as a violation of meritocracy, raising questions about the value of the competition process itself.
“This means the competition has no value under this government. Meritocracy has been brutally violated!” he wrote.
