Raphinha returns to Barcelona. The FC Barcelona forward, one of Brazil’s standout players in the friendly against Australia, has returned to Barcelona with edema in his right thigh, an injury that keeps him out of the Seleção’s next match against India, scheduled for Saturday, October 3.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) issued an official statement announcing his return as a precautionary measure.

Medical tests carried out on the Barcelona player after the match confirmed that he had swelling that raised concerns. It is not serious, but it is troubling him and the most cautious course is to avoid unnecessary risks. The CBF explained that he suffers from “muscle edema” and has therefore been released from Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
