Resilience Tech unveils the first Greek-made flight controller for FPV drones
Athens — The Greek drone company “Resilience Tech” has announced that it has developed the first flight controller for FPV drones manufactured entirely in the country, as Greek City Times reports. The electronic board, named “Flybot”, is described by the company as the “brain” of its next-generation first-person view (FPV) drone systems.
The flight controller is the central electronic board that manages a drone’s stabilisation, navigation and response in real time, and is considered the most critical part of an FPV drone’s avionics. Until now, Greece relied mainly on imported components for such systems, according to media reports.
The announcement comes at a moment when Athens is pushing hard to build a domestic defence and drone technology industry, as part of the multi-year modernisation program of the Greek armed forces. Reuters previously reported on the Greek anti-drone system “Centauros”, produced by Hellenic Aerospace Industry, as part of the same push.
According to the company, the “Flybot” board is expected to power the next generation of its systems, marking a step towards technological independence in a sector where Greece is trying to close the gap with producing countries, among them neighbouring Turkey, known as a drone exporter.
