Rouvikonas attack with sledgehammers on the Violanta factory in Larissa: windows smashed, video posted on social media

Members of the “Rouvikonas” group attacked the Violanta factory in Larissa, causing material damage, according to a Skai report. They entered the factory’s outer area armed with sledgehammers and smashed the windows of the doors and panes.

According to the group’s own announcement, the attack is a protest because the factory’s owner, Tziorziotis, was released under restrictive conditions by a decision of the Trikala Council of Elders. The group’s statement reads: “We do not forget the dead of our class. Nine months ago 5 workers were killed on shift at the VIOLANTA factory in Trikala. Tziorziotis is already out of prison, continues the business as if nothing happened, even firing the workers who testified against him about the gas leak.”
