Sami Lushtaku: “A great shame that Donika Gërvalla is in Kosovo’s government”
The mayor of Skenderaj and former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Sami Lushtaku, declared on Friday, during the protest held in support of former KLA leaders, that it is a “great shame” that Donika Gërvalla is in Kosovo’s government.
Speaking to Klan Kosova on the sidelines of the protest, Lushtaku said: “Those who have filed dossiers, those who were against the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, should have no place in Kosovo’s government.”
The former KLA commander added that the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army is that of the nation and not of the individual, stressing that Kosovo’s youth has understood the liberation war correctly.
Lushtaku’s statement came on the day of protests held across Kosovo in support of former KLA leaders, on the eve of the Special Court’s decision in The Hague, marking a strong moment of civic unity across the country.
