Sami Morina elected president of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia
Sami Morina, representative of the company “Bas Tuti Fruti”, has been elected president of the Governing Council of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia (OEMVP), with a four-year mandate, at the 6th Electoral Assembly, as TV21 announces. Morina succeeds the acting president, Nuhi Aliu.
According to Press7’s reporting, Morina had the support of the entire Chamber, which influenced Nuhi Aliu not to run in this race. Morina’s election was also congratulated by the former president of the OEMVP and mayor of Struga, Mendi Qyra. In his public congratulation, Qyra wished Morina success in the coming mandate and congratulated the Chamber on the organisation of the Assembly and the electoral process.
Qyra also stressed the important role of the OEMVP in representing the business community, economic development and strengthening cooperation between the private sector and institutions. The Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia represents the interests of businesses, with a special focus on the north-western region of the country, where most of North Macedonia’s Albanians live.
The Chamber’s electoral Assembly gathered representatives of the member companies, who also elected the new governing bodies for the next four years.
