SDSM: “Platform for Mickoski’s future” — ZNAM 2.0 will not pass

SKOPJE, September 26 — The opposition party SDSM has come out with a harsh statement against an initiative called the “Platform for Mickoski’s future”, calling it “ZNAM 2.0” — a new project similar to the ZNAM party, which according to the social democrats aims to fragment the opposition for the benefit of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, as 24 Info reports.

The statement names former SDSM leaders: Andrej Petrov, Igor Ivanovski–Šema, Nikola Ćurčiev, Gordan Georgiev and Slavjanka Petrovska — “the same team that led the party to electoral defeat” and which, according to SDSM, helped create “ZNAM 1.0”. “They are handing over their own party for Mickoski’s tenders” and “for them SDSM is worth 1.6 million euros”, the reaction says, alluding to tender benefits, while ZNAM 1.0 ministers are giving them public support.

SDSM’s rhetorical question is why “reforms” are being demanded precisely now — on the day the party told citizens that an arms dealer, arrested and with his fine paid by a man from the cocaine channel, pays Mickoski’s agenda, and when it published the VMRO-OKG plan for plundering national resources through mining plans.

According to the statement, the “Platform” speaks of a “violent takeover of SDSM” from restaurants and hotels, not from the party — an undemocratic “coup” attempt to seize the party’s bodies. SDSM reminds that it has a statute and democratic elections: “No one from a café or a hotel will change anyone in SDSM”.

“Once you sold the party. This time it will not pass… SDSM existed and will exist after you,” the statement concludes.

Unlike these accusations, the platform “Razgovori za idninata vo 12:05” has denied it aims to form a new party and has rejected the “ZNAM 2.0” label.
