Serbia’s Friend Sheds ‘Tears’ for the KLA

He who, during his rule, filled Serbia with fuel; he who violated international conventions while president of the country; he who has had and continues to have Serbia as a “friendly country” no matter what he says — shed “tears” for the KLA in Parliament. He even convinced some of the “yes-men” he has today in his parliamentary group that “they had to defend Hashim and the three other Kosovar leaders, that today Parliament had to talk about the verdict sentencing them.” And the lackeys stood up one by one, doing as Slobodan’s friend told them.

But how can Albanians forget that period, which put the “black mark” on us in Europe? How can Albanians forget the trucks and oil tankers heading toward the border with Serbia to save Slobo from the embargo the democratic world had imposed on him? What we heard in Parliament was the latest hypocrisy of a leader with 140 flags, with 140 faces, which no Albanian can ever believe. This country has been taking “fatal blows” from that man for over 36 years — a man who poses as a “nationalist, as a patriot,” but in fact came to the head of the Democratic Party, and then to the presidency, with a special mission — a mission that began early, before the 1990s. A mission that continued at the meeting in the basement of a friendly embassy after March 22, 1992, from where each state began to seek the name of its “preferred” minister. The agencies had entered and were already working quite calmly.

Within 24 hours, Sali Berisha dissolved the entire intelligence network we had inside and outside the country (as instructed by his Serb friends) and replaced them with biological idiots who didn’t know what the intelligence service was, and he used the former SHIK as he pleased. That was the nation’s misfortune. The country had fallen into the hands of a man whose mission was to destroy the country, the economy, industry, agriculture, the army, the police, the secret service from the foundations, to brand the country as an “obedient partner of the Slavs, and not of the Europeans.” He also greatly damaged the Kosovo cause — suffice it to mention the signing of the Rambouillet treaty, when Sali himself called out “Kosovars, don’t sign it.”

He has always damaged Albania’s foreign policy. He has always damaged Kosovo’s fortunes, because at every delicate moment the newest state in Europe went through, Sali Berisha and his party would inevitably create conflict situations in Tirana and the districts. So how can I and the Albanians believe his calls in Parliament that “today we had to deal with the Hague verdict on the 4 KLA leaders”? He has always been the “spanner in the works” over the nation’s fortunes, over progress and integration; he has always worked and lived on implementing the “points of his mission,” which has its origins far back, before 1990.
