Court Frees Zogu i Zi Protesters, Calls Their Arrest Illegal

The Tirana court has decided to free all the protesters arrested a few days ago during their action in the Zogu i Zi area.

At the hearing to review the security measures, the judicial panel deemed the arrest carried out by law enforcement illegal. As a result, the court decided not to impose any coercive security measure on them, ordering their immediate release.

The citizens were escorted and arrested by police after attempting to block vehicle traffic at the main Zogu i Zi junction as part of their protest. However, after reviewing the evidence and the circumstances of the incident, the judges concluded that their detention procedure had no legal basis.
