Suspected of Robbing 16 Premises in Tirana Within Two Months, 34-Year-Old Arrested

A 34-year-old man has been arrested by the services of Police Station No. 1 on suspicion of being behind 16 break-in thefts at various premises in the capital.

The police operation codenamed “Broken Door” was finalized after a series of investigative actions carried out on the basis of reports from the premises’ managers, who had denounced the theft of sums of money and products.

According to police, the citizen with the initials E. Gj., 34, is suspected of carrying out break-in thefts at 16 premises in different areas of Tirana during August and September 2026.

Of the documented cases, 8 premises are in the territory of Police Station No. 2, 4 in the territory of Police Station No. 3, 2 in the territory of Police Station No. 1 and 2 in the territory of Police Station No. 4.

During further checks, officers found that the 34-year-old was under the security measure of “house arrest,” imposed earlier for the same criminal offense, “Theft.”

Investigations continue to fully uncover and document the 34-year-old’s suspected criminal activity.

The case materials have been referred to the Prosecution for further action.
