Serious accident in Shkodër, one dead in a two-car collision! The elderly man loses his life, a French citizen was at the wheel

A fatal accident has occurred on the Shkodër-Lezhë road axis, at the place called Kryebushat (September 30).

Two vehicles were involved in the accident, with drivers P. L., 67 years old, a French citizen, and Gj. N., 83 years old, resident in Shkodër.

As a result of the accident, citizen Gj. N. lost his life in hospital, as A2 reports.

Police statement:

“On 30.09.2026, at around 15:30, on the ‘Shkodër-Lezhë’ road axis, at the place called Kryebushat, two vehicles were involved in a road accident, driven by citizens P. L., 67 years old, a French citizen, and Gj. N., 83 years old, resident in Shkodër.

As a result of the accident, citizen Gj. N. lost his life at the Shkodër Regional Hospital. Citizen P. L. was escorted to the premises of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate for further procedures.

The investigative group continues its work to fully clarify and document the circumstances of the accident.”
