‘Six: The Musical’ bids farewell to Broadway with a sing-along evening on 29 October — final show on 3 January 2027

The musical “Six” — which turned the six wives of Henry VIII into modern pop stars — is preparing to bid farewell to Broadway with an unforgettable evening: on 29 October, at 7:00 p.m., the final “sing-along” performance will be held, where audiences are invited to sing their favourite songs out loud together with the actresses on stage, as Playbill reports.

The final Broadway performance of “Six” is set for 3 January 2027 at the Lena Horne Theatre. When the curtain falls, the musical will have played a full 2,178 performances — a record that places it among Broadway’s longest-running productions.

The current cast consists of Khaila Wilcoxon (Catherine of Aragon), Chloe Tucker Caine (Anne Boleyn), Natalie Paris (Jane Seymour), Olivia Donalson (Anne of Cleves), Aimie Atkinson (Katherine Howard) and Stephanie Jae Park (Catherine Parr). Paris and Atkinson — who are making their Broadway debuts — can also be seen in the film “Six the Musical Live!”, recorded at London’s Vaudeville Theatre and released in cinemas in the U.S. and Canada on 14 August.

“Six”, with book, music and lyrics by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, had its first preview on 13 February 2020 and officially opened on 3 October 2021 — becoming the first new musical to open on Broadway after the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. Since then it has won 35 international awards, including the 2022 Tony for Best Original Score and the Outer Critics Circle award for Best Musical.

Even after the farewell in New York, “Six” continues to reign elsewhere: it is playing in London’s West End, is on tour in the U.S., Britain and Australia, returns to China for a 12-week tour and this September opened a new Spanish-language production in Madrid.
