Spectacle at Wembley: Spain beat England

World and European champions Spain got their Nations League campaign off to a flying start, winning 3-2 at Wembley after a spectacular match. Yamal broke the deadlock, capitalizing on a mistake by Guehi. England turned the game around in four minutes: Gordon equalized and Kane scored with help from Cucurella. After the break, Kane hit a penalty against the crossbar, while Baena made it 2-2 and Oyarzabal scored the 3-2 winner.

Spain’s show at Wembley was not the only one on this Nations League evening. Croatia won 2-1 away to the Czech Republic in League A Group 3, thanks in part to an ageless goal from Modrić. In League B, Switzerland beat North Macedonia 3-0, while Slovenia and Scotland drew 0-0. A Finland victory, 7-0 over San Marino.
