Student List: Serbia will not impose sanctions on Russia — students address four questions to Vučić
The blockaded students published today on their profile on the social network X a “student program on the issue of foreign policy and sanctions,” in which they emphasize that Serbia will continue to maintain its firm position that imposing sanctions on any state, entity or individual is an expression of a political stance — and does not prove that sanction measures help resolve political and security challenges, as the Serbian newspaper Danas reports.
“The Republic of Serbia will maintain its principled position of not imposing restrictive measures on the Russian Federation,” the students’ statement says, citing as reasons the country’s historical experience and the direct impact of these measures on the local population.
But besides the position on Russia, the students also raised four questions which, as Danas writes, are addressed directly to the bearer of the SNS electoral list, Aleksandar Vučić: When will those responsible for the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad railway station be sanctioned? When will the 2 minutes of footage from the Doljevac toll booth be published? Who is to blame for the (non-)handover of Gazivoda? And why do the candidates of the list, whose bearer is you, attack and beat citizens?
“These questions do not need debate, but concrete answers,” the students emphasize at the end of their post on the X network.
