Tepić: Serbia is not poor, it has been looted — “European Serbia” presents its programme
Marinika Tepić, one of the lead candidates of the “Evropska Srbija” (European Serbia) list, presented her coalition’s programme on Tuesday for the early parliamentary elections of 25 October, as the newspaper Danas reports. According to her, the coalition’s focus is the fight against corruption, the return of looted money and the dismantling of the system which, in her assessment, has made the blockade of institutions possible. “Serbia is not poor, it has been looted. If the great corruption in which we are drowning were cut, there would be money for healthcare and for everything Aleksandar Vučić promises. Everything exists — it is just that instead of going into their pockets and properties, it must be redirected to the departments,” Tepić told N1 television.
Among the concrete measures, Tepić mentioned the establishment of a national fund for the return of looted money and an “anti-corruption radar” that would prevent corrupt deals before they are signed. The coalition also proposes a law on a special anti-corruption prosecutor for corruption by public officials.
According to her, a change of government is not enough: “The dismantling of the system must be carried out.” She said that in the first seven days an emergency staff will be formed to analyse the situation in all departments, while in the first 24 hours the priority is dismantling the BIA, the media, RTS and major state systems such as EPS.
Tepić expressed her conviction that the student list will understand that the European path is a priority, and called on as many people as possible to turn out in the elections.
