The ‘Artemis’ Accords, the U.S. welcomes Albania

The U.S. Department of State has congratulated Albania on joining the Artemis Accords at NASA headquarters.

The State Department emphasizes that Albania remains one of the closest allies of the United States, and that joining the Artemis Accords “confirms the commitment to the peaceful exploration and use of space.”

Albania is now part of the Artemis Accords, signed at NASA headquarters, becoming the 73rd country to join this international initiative.

The Artemis Accords were founded in 2020 by the United States and seven other countries as a framework of principles to guide the responsible and peaceful exploration of space.

By signing the agreement, Albania joins the United States and other countries in promoting the sustainable development of civil activities in space.
