The government’s fish has burst

The scum of the idiots in power, those whom Edi Rama has in abundance and whom he rewards with posts at all levels of governance, “gifted” us these days with yet another scene of crime and catastrophe, in the full sense of the word. The images of several tons of fish writhing painfully to survive amid the mud created by them in the Kasharaj reservoir in Lushnja are scandalous.
In any other normal country in the world, those images of catastrophe would have raised the state and the whole of society to their feet.
I am not saying that the National Security Council should have gathered again, because it was spent once on the scandal with the director of the Intelligence Service, but the absence of an immediate reaction, in a state of alarm, by the responsible institutions and agencies is unforgivable, it is scandalous!
A grave environmental crime has occurred. An ecological catastrophe has occurred.
Not by the forces of nature.
By the idiots in power!
Who, to this country’s misfortune, are many. Their deeds are many too, the costs of which fall on the citizens. They fall also on the environment, the territory, on the country’s assets.
To do no one an injustice, I sought to learn what the position of the Ministry of Environment is on this criminal catastrophe, but I found not a single word. No position. No information.
No position from the ministry, no position from the minister himself either!
And, to complete the picture of irresponsibility, no position from the National Environment Agency either, no position from the director of this agency either, no position from the State Committee of Dams either, no position from the National Council of Territory and Water (KKTU) either!
So far only the Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla, has reacted, telling us that the main responsibility for the created situation belongs to the Municipality of Lushnja. The Municipality of Lushnja, which expects to have an outlet to the sea, has also reacted, filing a complaint with the Fier Prosecution against the consortium of private companies that won the tender for the rehabilitation of the dam. But that is all, each one only to shift responsibility away from themselves.
How is this possible?
What is happening in this country?
Several tons of fish have died. An entire asset has been destroyed, with a great impact on the environment, on the ecosystem of the area and on the irrigation network of agricultural lands, and nobody reacts or shows even the slightest sense of responsibility?!
I understand that the Prime Minister has his mind elsewhere and, faced with the scandals of those he has chosen to keep closest to himself, the scandals of the idiots lower down in his power do not get their turn. But at least he could force the Minister of Environment to do his duty and inform the citizens about what has happened and why it has happened, what is being done and how the created situation will be managed?
That is the least they can do.
Since we have the National Environment Agency, we can logically ask:
Has this agency carried out any inspection at the Kasharaj reservoir?
Has the impact on the ecosystem and the fish been measured?
Has environmental damage been ascertained?
Has there been any environmental permit, authorization or condition for the works?
Has there been an inspection before the reservoir was emptied?
Has it ordered any preventive measure?
Governance is responsibility, it is not a joke. And responsibility means doing the work.
We all know that the government’s fish has burst, not only in the dried-up Kasharaj reservoir in Lushnja, but everywhere; with the incinerators, with the concessions, with the roads, with Zvërnec, with the TEC and the Tigers in Vlora, with the port, with the strategic investments and most of the criminals with their hands in them, with AKSHI, with SHISH, with deputy prime ministers, with ministers, with mayors, with MPs, general secretaries, directors — whom to mention first.
But not to react to the created situation and not to inform the citizens about what has happened is mockery! It is also disgusting.
It is not the first time it happens. The lack of transparency and responsibility, the arrogance, the mockery, the contempt and the insults are the behavior of the majority in power, which thinks it can get away with successive scandals by hiding under the smokescreen of videos with sex scenes.
It is precisely in this behavior that not simply the lack of respect, but the disgust and hatred towards the idiots in power, has its source.
