The Roskovec Killing and the Money Mystery: Nertil Buzi’s Sister’s Letter — His Ex-Fiancée Took the Money, Promised to Give It Back

RTSH’s “Në kohë reale” show today (Sept 21) covered the grave crime in Roskovec, where Nertil Buzi killed his former father-in-law and mother-in-law, took his ex-fiancée hostage and finally killed himself rather than surrender to the RENEA forces who had surrounded him and had spent hours trying to secure his surrender.

The first part of Nertil Buzi’s sister’s letter lays out a chronology of events linked to his being taken hostage in England and then to a sum of money which, according to her, Nertil had given to Rozalinda Plaka, his ex-fiancée.

According to her, when Nertil was taken hostage in England, she began to have suspicions about Rozalinda and her brother. She claims they were receiving messages from Nertil’s phone and knew where he was. His sister says she is convinced the two may have revealed Nertil’s whereabouts after, according to her, taking money from him.

At first, according to the sister, he did not tell family members about the sum of money he had given Rozalinda. He only told them he would get the money back and use it to pay off his debts. She also claims Rozalinda promised Nertil she would return the money, but according to her, that never happened.

“On July 27, I, Nertil Buzi’s sister, filed a report against (Rozalinda Plaka) and her people. From the very first moment he was taken hostage in England — taken by the group of Vlonjats — I had suspicions about her brother, because every message went to Rozalinda and her brother by phone and they knew where Nertil was.

I am convinced that the two of them revealed where Nertil was after they took money from him. After Nertil served his sentence he returned to Albania. At first he had not informed us or our parents about the amount of money he had handed over to Rozalinda (his ex-wife), but from time to time he told us he would take the money and pay off all the debts he had.

He came with the idea of starting a business, but nothing went as it should and he had no more money to continue what he wanted — he needed money and he had none.

He asked me and my sisters for money to help him, and when everything went well with the business he would pay us back. We could no longer help him. Then we learned that he quarreled with her on the phone from time to time, and also when they met.

After everything, he told us he had nowhere else to get money but from Rozalinda. He told us he had sent the money to Rozalinda and was ashamed to tell us about what he had done. She kept Nertil on good terms and told him that one day he would get his money back, but that never happened,” the first part of the letter reads.
