They practiced prostitution and advertised it on social media, 5 foreign women arrested in Tirana

Five foreign nationals were arrested this Monday in Tirana, who practiced prostitution in a daily rented apartment, an activity which was also advertised on social networks.

According to the police announcement, those arrested are V. P., 40 years old, P. K., 42 years old and P. M., 33 years old, all three Vietnamese, as well as L. Y., 42 years old and X. H., 42 years old, both Chinese.

Meanwhile, two people who benefited from this activity are under investigation, while another Vietnamese citizen has been declared wanted, who is suspected to have created the conditions for the performance of this activity.

As a result of the operational work and the monitoring in the digital space, with the objective of ascertaining and striking the cases of advertising on social networks, of the prostitution exercised by foreign nationals, in apartments taken with daily rent, in the capital, the specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Trafficking finalized the codenamed operation “Last meeting.”

During the operation the citizens who exercised this activity in 3 apartments were arrested, V. P., 40 years old, P. K., 42 years old and P. M., 33 years old, all three Vietnamese, as well as L. Y., 42 years old and X. H., 42 years old, both Chinese.

Further, the Vietnamese citizen, T. T., 35 years old, was declared wanted, as it is suspected that he has provided against benefits, the conditions for the performance of this activity by the 3 arrested Vietnamese citizens. Intensive work is being done for the capture of this citizen.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, for further actions.
