Three luxury cars seized in Vlorë

Vlorë police have seized three luxury vehicles manufactured in recent years. During verification checks, several vehicles were escorted for further inspection.

After verification procedures and taking statements, it emerged that for three of them the vehicles’ value did not match the known and lawful income of the drivers or possessors.

The vehicles were seized as material evidence, while three citizens were placed under investigation — at liberty — for the criminal offense of “Money laundering”.

Meanwhile, an asset investigation has also been launched against the owners and possessors, aimed at verifying the source of the wealth and how it was acquired.

Vlorë police announced that checks on luxury vehicles will continue, as part of efforts to identify criminally-sourced assets and crack down on the laundering of proceeds from criminal activity.
