Tirana court keeps Eno Agasi in jail

The Tirana court decided this Friday to extend the “arrest in prison” measure for Eno Agasi and accepted prosecutor Bledar Valikaj’s request to transfer the file to the Special Prosecution (SPAK) for jurisdiction.

Eno Agasi did not speak at the hearing, while his lawyers opposed the transfer of the case to SPAK. However, this request was not taken into account by judge Dritan Hallunaj.

Two criminal offenses have been brought against Agasi: “Theft” and “Obstruction of the discovery of the truth”. The latter had been declared wanted for removing the wine collection worth hundreds of thousands of euros that had been seized by SPAK, as part of the investigations and checks for the AKSHI case file.
