Two arrested in Laç for distributing cocaine in doses

Two people have been handcuffed by Lezha police after being caught distributing narcotics in doses in the town of Laç.

According to police reports, Gabriel Malasi, 28, and Skerdi Kaloçi, 19, were arrested in neighborhood no. 6, Laç, where a search of the vehicle they were travelling in found and seized a quantity of cocaine, divided into 80 doses, ready for sale.

The services of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Kurbin Police Commissariat, in continuation of the work to combat criminal activity in the field of narcotics, based on information obtained through operational channels, organised and finalised the police operation codenamed “Destinacioni”.

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

G. M., 28, resident in Lushnja, and S. K., 19, resident in Tirana.

These citizens are suspected of engaging in the criminal activity of distributing narcotics in the town of Laç.

Police services located and stopped these citizens in neighborhood no. 6, Laç, where, during the search of the vehicle they were travelling in, a quantity of cocaine, divided into 80 doses, ready for sale, was found and seized.

The investigation suggests that these citizens obtained the cocaine and then divided it into doses, with the aim of distributing it in the town of Laç.

As material evidence, the narcotics, one vehicle and four mobile phones were seized.

The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Lezha Court of General Jurisdiction for further action.
