Two arrested in Laç for drug distribution; police seize cocaine divided into 80 doses

Two people were arrested today (September 19) in Laç, suspected of distributing narcotics in the city.

The police operation codenamed “Destinacioni” was carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the Kurbin Police Commissariat, as part of investigations to strike criminal activity in the field of narcotics.

Arrested were G. M., 28, resident in Lushnjë, and S. K., 19, resident in Tirana.

According to the Police, the two young men were located and stopped in neighborhood no. 6 in Laç. During the search of the vehicle they were traveling in, officers found and seized a quantity of cocaine divided into 80 doses, suspected of being prepared for sale.

Investigative actions suggest the two arrested secured the narcotics and then divided them into doses, with the aim of distributing them in the city of Laç.

Seized as material evidence were the narcotics, a vehicle and four mobile phones.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution Office at the General Jurisdiction Court of Lezhë for further action.
