Ulutaş receives Prattipati at KFOR, discuss security situation in Kosovo

KFOR Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş received the United States chargé d’affaires in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, at KFOR headquarters at Camp Film City in Pristina.

According to a KFOR announcement, the meeting discussed the security situation in the region, with Ulutaş reiterating the NATO-led mission’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all citizens in Kosovo.

The mission stressed that it acts impartially and in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, EULEX, according to their respective security responsibilities.

The meeting comes ahead of the end of Ulutaş’s mandate at the head of KFOR, which is expected to conclude in mid-October.

On this occasion, the KFOR commander thanked Prattipati for her continued support and cooperation, also expressing gratitude for the United States’ long-standing and significant contribution to the KFOR mission.

KFOR recalled that it continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, aimed at ensuring a safe environment and freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo.
