Unique LeBron James–Kobe Bryant Dual Autograph Card Sells for $6.5 Million at Auction

A 1-of-1 patch card bearing the autographs of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant from 2007 sold for just over $6.5 million at an Alt Auctions sale.

As Bleacher Report notes, 2007 was a pivotal year for both legends: LeBron, then with the Cleveland Cavaliers, reached the NBA Finals for the first time after a brilliant postseason, marked by his legendary 48-point performance — including 25 straight points — in the 109-107 double-overtime win over the Detroit Pistons in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals.

In the 2006-07 season, Bryant led the league in scoring average for the second straight year. He then won the only MVP award of his career in the 2007-08 season, a period when the Los Angeles Lakers won the Western Conference title.

The card sale follows another big transaction in the sports memorabilia market: a 1-of-1 rookie debut card of Cooper Flagg sold for $8.04 million overnight, showing strong demand for unique historic items.

According to Bleacher Report, such purchases underscore collectors’ continued interest in items tied to the most celebrated moments in NBA history.
