Vladimir Putin votes online in Russia’s parliamentary elections (VIDEO)

President Vladimir Putin voted online on Friday in the parliamentary elections in Moscow, according to Russian state media.

In a video posted by the TASS news agency, the Russian president is seen looking attentively at a computer while casting his vote.

A screen then shows a green checkmark, along with writing in Russian that appears to confirm his vote, with Putin smiling ironically at the end of the video.

According to Russian media, the elections are a “staged operation” meant to give the appearance of a fully functional democracy.
