Vucevic accuses student Ilija Srdanovic of the violence against the SNS activist in Novi Sad

Miloš Vučević, president of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), at an extraordinary press conference held today accused Ilija Srdanović, the first on the electoral list “Studentska lista – Studenti pobeđuju” for the October 25 parliamentary elections, of being “directly responsible” for last night’s incident in Novi Sad, as the newspaper Danas reports.

According to reports, the incident happened last night between 21:00 and 22:00 near the Futoška pijaca market in Novi Sad, where SNS activist Ljiljana Cvjetković was punched in the head by a man. Vučević claimed that Srdanović “personally led the attack”: as the portal nasportal.info reports, he was the first to cross the street toward the SNS activists, called on the “blockers” to follow him and then took a megaphone to thank them for what they did.

Standing next to Vučević at the press conference was the attacked activist herself, Ljiljana Cvjetković.

The SNS leader said they will follow what the police, the prosecution and the court will do, also claiming that yesterday there were incidents in Belgrade and Niš as well, where SNS activists were attacked, according to the portal vojvodjanskireporter.rs.
