“We Do Not Forget”: song dedicated to the fallen of the war premieres tonight in Obiliq
Today, on the day marking the crime and genocide in Abri e Epërme, the “Genocide in Kosovo – Open Wound” center premieres the song “Ne nuk harrojmë” (“We Do Not Forget”), dedicated to all those who fell during Kosovo’s liberation war.
The promotion takes place tonight at AMC Hall, on Cërriku Street in Obiliq, starting at 6:00 p.m., with stars of Albanian music: Enkelejda Arifi, Ilir Shaqiri, Kastriot Tusha, Nikollë Nikprelaj and Selami Kolonja.
For this event, Danish intellectual Niels Henrik Hooge has traveled from Denmark — he voluntarily took part as a fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army and has been decorated by the Presidency of Kosovo for his contribution to the country’s liberation; historian and Balkan affairs expert Tue Magnussen; as well as the writer from Galicia, Spain, author of the book “Mirupafshim në Kosovë” (“Goodbye in Kosovo”).
The event will also be attended by British journalist Vaughan Smith, who filmed during the genocide crime in Prekaz, in the Jashari family neighborhood.
According to the announcement, besides honoring the fallen, this event is an appeal for the triumph of true justice: the punishment of the real criminals who committed genocide in Kosovo and the release of the liberators, as KosovaPress reports.
