Ylli Manjani: If the Penal Code is changed, Ilir Meta benefits too

A guest on “Now with Erla Mëhilli”, lawyer Ylli Manjani commented on the proposals for changes to the Code of Criminal Procedure and the impact they could have on cases that are in process.

Manjani said that, if the changes are approved, one of the people who could benefit from them is former president Ilir Meta.

“Thank goodness changes to the Code of Criminal Procedure have been proposed, so that on this occasion Ilir Meta can benefit too, since you are so concerned about him. Yes, of course, with this change Ilir Meta benefits too. In criminal law there is a standard that, if you bring something new and the new thing is in favour of the person under suspicion, the doubt goes in favour of the person in process. It is principled, unavoidable, universal,” Manjani said.
