Aalyah, daughter of Rey Mysterio, introduced to WWE’s new rookie class

WWE introduced Aalyah Gutierrez, the daughter of Rey Mysterio, as part of the new rookie class at the Performance Center on Thursday, officially bringing her into the company’s development programs.

As Bleacher Report reports, Rey Mysterio stated in June during the Six Feet Under show with The Undertaker that Aalyah had trained at the Performance Center in October and February and that she was ready to start her WWE career after finishing her university studies. Earlier reports from July said she was preparing to appear at the Performance Center.

Aalyah is no stranger to the WWE world: she has made on-screen appearances since 2020, including a romantic storyline with Buddy Murphy, while her brother, Dominik Mysterio, is part of the current Raw roster. According to Bleacher Report, the introduction to the rookie class is an important step toward a possible in-ring career for her.
