Abelard Tahiri after meeting Thaçi in The Hague: He was calm and confident the appeal will correct the injustice

Former Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has shared a message after his visit to The Hague, where he met former Kosovo president Hashim Thaçi, following the Specialist Court’s verdict.

Tahiri said he was emotional and upset when he met Thaçi after the decision, which he described as unjust. However, according to him, the former president was calm, strong and convinced that justice will triumph.

“I was very upset when I met the President after the unjust decision. And yet, he was calm, strong and confident. With the belief that justice will triumph and that the appeal will correct this injustice,” Tahiri wrote.

He announced that Thaçi sent greetings to citizens protesting in Prishtina’s square against the Specialist Court’s decision.

“He sends you heartfelt greetings, each of you who are in Prishtina’s square and who became the strong voice against injustice,” Tahiri stated.
